This Payroll Tax Filing Authorization and Client Responsibility Addendum applies when Customer authorizes MMALI Financial Services LLC d/b/a WagePress to prepare, support, transmit, file, or facilitate federal, state, or local payroll tax returns, deposits, payments, registrations, amendments, notices, or related payroll tax workflows.
1. Authorization
Customer authorizes WagePress and its service providers to use Customer-provided information to prepare, generate, transmit, submit, sign electronically where authorized, and otherwise facilitate payroll tax filings, deposits, payments, and related communications with tax agencies to the extent enabled in the Services and permitted by applicable law.
2. Agency Forms and Powers
Customer must complete, sign, and maintain any required agency authorization forms, powers of attorney, reporting agent authorizations, online access approvals, state account registrations, unemployment insurance registrations, tax deposit authorizations, and electronic filing enrollments. Services may be delayed or unavailable until required authorizations are accepted by the applicable agency.
3. Covered Filings
Supported filings may include, where enabled and applicable, federal payroll tax forms in the 94x series, unemployment filings, withholding returns, W-2/W-3 filings, corrections, amendments, deposit instructions, and related reports. Availability may vary by jurisdiction, agency, filing period, customer eligibility, and platform configuration.
4. Client Review and Legal Responsibility
Customer remains the taxpayer, employer, payer, filer of record, and responsible party. Customer must review payroll data, tax calculations, returns, payment amounts, deposit schedules, agency account numbers, rates, taxability settings, and filing statuses before approval. WagePress is not responsible for penalties or interest caused by Customer errors, late information, insufficient funds, agency issues, or rejected authorizations.
5. Funds and Payment Timing
Customer authorizes WagePress, Moov, banking partners, and other payment service providers to debit Customer's designated account for tax amounts, fees, reversals, corrections, and related charges. Customer must maintain sufficient collected funds. Tax payments may be delayed or fail if funding is unavailable, account information is incorrect, banking or agency systems are unavailable, or compliance review is required.
6. Notices and Audits
Customer must promptly provide WagePress with agency notices, penalty notices, deposit notices, tax rate changes, account updates, and audit correspondence. Customer is responsible for responding to agencies unless WagePress expressly agrees in writing to assist.
7. No Advice
WagePress does not provide legal, tax, accounting, wage and hour, benefits, or employment advice. Customer should consult qualified advisors for compliance determinations.
